Diplomacy and technology: A historical journey #3
Ancient Diplomacy: What can it teach us?
Thursday, 25th March
13:00 UTC (08:00 EST | 14:00 CET | 21:00 CST)
As a follow-up to the February webinar, which dealt with the very early days of diplomacy, our March webinar will focus on the ancient world.
We will start with the emergence of writing, one of the most important communication technologies in the history of mankind.
Registrations are now closed. You can follow the event on YouTube and Facebook live streams.

Writing triggered a more sophisticated way of communication both within and between ancient societies. We will navigate through the rich diplomatic heritage of ancient Babylon, Sumeria, Egypt, the Hittite Empire, India, Persia, and China.
In this journey through time, we will follow developments from clay to digital tablets, and search for insights that should help us understand the future of diplomacy.
Join us on Thursday, 25th March, at 13:00 UTC (14:00 CET).
